40 three thousand metre peaks line the green alpine valley, which stretches from the south of Innsbruck through the Alps all the way to Austria's largest glacier area. The village life in the Stubai Valley concentrates around the villages of Schoenberg, Mieders, Telfes, Fulpmes and Neustift. Both sides are lined with majestic mountainscapes. Here the developed gentle alpine landscape meets wild, pristine nature.
Both in summer and in winter, the Stubai Valley offers sports enthusiasts an incredible variety of leisure activities: skiing, tobogganing, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding and much more. There are also more relaxed ways to discover the nature: Cable railways take you directly from the Alpeiner Nature Resort Tyrol to the surrounding mountains.
The Stubai Valley has a long tradition as dream holiday destination. What was once liked by the emperor now delights guests from all over the world. Even Emperor Maximilian visited the Stubai Valley at the beginning of the 16. century for hunting purposes. Today, Stubai welcomes guests from all over the world. Neustift, the most remote of the five towns in the Stubai Valley, is closest to the unspoilt nature and home of the Alpeiner Nature Resort Tyrol. This is where Tyrolean tradition meets modern-day comfort. Be inspired by old traditions and enjoy the down-to-earthness of village life. Each season has its own festivities, which are organized with much love for detail. During advent, the village and its hotels are decorated for Christmas, in spring the Perchten drive out the winter and in autumn there is the ceremonial driving down of cattle from the mountain pastures into the valley. Throughout the year, visitors can learn about the traditions and culture of the Stubai Valley in museums and find places of interest well worth a visit. Stubai Valley attractions
