The Stubai Glacier is located only a few minutes away from the Alpeiner Nature Resort Tyrol and is a worthwhile attraction, both in summer and in winter. As a special service, we offer a free shuttle service from the hotel in Neustift directly to the Stubai Glacier and back again.
The Stubai Glacier is Austria's largest glacier ski area; it is covered in snow from October to June. A total of 26 cableways and lifts transport visitors comfortably around the ski area with its 205 hectares of prepared slopes.

After an exciting day of skiing, you can take a pit stop at one of the cosy ski huts. The Stubai glacier is known as the most child-friendly family ski resort and was also awarded the title of "the most family-friendly ski resort in the Alps" for the fourth time in a row in 2013 in the annual ranking of the ADAC SkiGuide. Here, your children will find everything they could wish for. Children who are spending their day on the slopes with their parents will find an own separate area in the BIG Family Children's World, the BIG Family Boardercross, the BIG Family Funslope and the Children's Line at the Snowpark Moreboards Stubai Zoo. The summit platform TOP OF TYROL and the breathtaking panoramic views across the 109 three thousand metre peaks of the Stubai Alps all the way to the Dolomites are the highlight of any holiday in the Stubai Valley. The Stubai Glacier offers the right hike for every visitor, from demanding summit hikes for ambitious climbers to relaxed high-altitude walking tours: The Stubai WildeWasserWeg trail, which leads along waterfalls, pristine headwaters and alpine flora and fauna, extends from the Stubai Glacier to the impressive Grawa Waterfall and all the way into the Stubai Valley. In summer, you can learn about the ecosystem of the Stubai Glacier on a circular route with audioguide. You can delve into the world of eternal ice and gain an understanding of glacial phenomena such as morainic crests or glacial striae. The ice cave at the Stubai Glacier is buried deep inside the glacial ice at an altitude of 3000 m near the Eisgrat summit station and offers visitors a fascinating insight into the world of snow and ice. A tour of the ice cave makes it possible to experience the glacier phenomena up close. 30 m below the ski piste there is a 110 metre long walkabout, a stunning excursion destination for the whole family.
